Hlemmur Mathöll

Hlemmur Mathöll, Iceland’s first food hall, is housed in a former bus terminal, with all of its industrial charm. Opened in 2017, it offers a variety of dining experiences under one roof, including gourmet street food and upscale dishes. Skál, which originally opened here, (but has since relocated) became the heart of the hall with its experimental Icelandic cuisine. The food hall features multiple vendors such as La Poblana for Mexican street food and Kröst, known for its signature burger and bacon-wrapped Arctic char. With a relaxed atmosphere and a focus on local ingredients, Hlemmur Mathöll maintains its position as a popular destination for food lovers in Reykjavík.
