What are the rooms like?

Nordlandet promises every guest a front-row seat to the captivating drama of the ocean. These aren’t just rooms; they’re intimate havens that blend utility with panoramic sea vistas. As guests, imagine moments of serenity on your terrace, with the sea’s whispers as your only distraction. The rooms, though snug, are ingeniously designed to maximise space and light. A highlight for some is the fireplace, an old-world charm, ideal for wintry evenings. Bathrooms, meanwhile, are a canvas of modern luxury, showcasing sleek tiles accentuated by shimmering brass and stocked with L:a Bruket toiletries. We stayed in one of the apartments, designed in the same fashion as the rooms, but with ample space for a family of four.

During our stay at Nordlandet, we were continually enchanted by its unforgettable offerings. A standout feature is the oceanic pool, a natural spectacle, nestled among craggy rocks. For the intrepid, the Baltic’s cold embrace awaits, balanced by a welcoming sauna afterwards. As part of the Kadeau family, the hotel champions culinary excellence. Drawing inspiration from the Michelin-starred Kadeau, meals here celebrate seasonal flavours. We particularly appreciated the thoughtfully curated breakfast buffet, enriched with local produce and delightful new additions every morning. The buzzing summer spot, the Underbar bar, is a must-visit, boasting signature cocktails and local beers.

The island boasts the most sunshine hours in Denmark, making it a sought-after escape from the country’s often grey skies.
