Halland is the west-coast region Sweden keeps underestimating. South of Gothenburg, it has moved from drive-through territory to a sharper food and stayover destination, built on farm produce, serious kitchens, sea baths, long beaches and towns such as Halmstad, Falkenberg and Varberg that punch above their reputation.
