Transparent’s first proper store is built around listening rather than simply looking at speakers. The Stockholm audio brand, founded in 2012 by Per Brickstad, Magnus Wiberg and Martin Willers, has turned its former Sound Room near Nytorget into a permanent retail space designed by Brickstad himself. Speakers and turntables can be compared in a dedicated listening room, while Musicautomat gives visitors a place to pick a record and sit with it. Vinyl, cartridges, streaming modules, TV stands and audio accessories broaden the offer beyond Transparent’s recognisable clear-cased speakers.

Sania D’mina’s new showroom on Banérgatan gives the Stockholm footwear label a permanent home beyond appointments and department-store pop-ups. Founder Sania Claus Demina launched the brand in 2018 around a deceptively simple premise. High heels should be elegant without being punishing. The shoes are designed in Stockholm, handmade in Italy and shaped with particular attention to fit, balance and wearability. For the showroom, Demina worked with interior designer and gallerist Fredrik Karlsson, creating a setting that reflects the brand’s preference for timeless materials and restrained glamour. It feels closer to a private fashion salon than a conventional shoe shop, with the entire collection presented in a calm, considered setting.

Tadaima

Press the bell and leave the shop-floor reflex at the door. In central Copenhagen, Tadaima has reopened inside a nineteenth-century apartment, which suits Hanne Berzant, Josefine Berzant and Emma Berzant’s eye better than a white cube ever did. The edit folds together their own collection with Fredericia, Porta Romana, Zanetto, Serax, Artemide, Stack Furniture, Lotte Hoffmann ceramics and vintage objects, all placed like a home with no interest in behaving like one. Scandinavian, Italian and Japanese references move through furniture, lighting, textiles, silverware, books and art.
