Audo Copenhagen in Copenhagen is not your regular stay. The refurbished old merchants’ house in the Nyhavn area has received a complete makeover by Norm Architects and Danish design brand Audo Copenhagen. The space has been designed as a hybrid between a hotel, a design shop, an event space, a restaurant and a café. As such, it encourages interactions between locals and guests alike. Considering the thought that has gone into creating Audo Copenhagen, the vibe is decidedly elegant in a modern way.

What are the rooms like?

The ten uniquely designed suites all feature furniture by Audo Copenhagen, along with other partner brands. The suites provide the comfort of a hotel room while doubling as a showroom for the design brand. Sumptuous and elegant designs and high-quality materials are found throughout and are paired with rich earthy tones, solid oak floors and custom furniture and decorative objects.

What else?

As the entire place doubles as a showroom, there’s also a lovely in situ concept shop with a thoughtful curation of design objects, apparel and art pieces by brands such as Aiayu, Frama, Atelier Cph and Bodyologist. There’s also The Salon for drinks, snacks and a lighter meal throughout the day. Audo Copenhagen has a fleet of bikes that guests can make use of during their stay.
