What’s the hotel in a nutshell?

Coming of age – a young person’s transition from being a child to becoming an adult – has been a major source of inspiration at 25 Hours Hotel Indre By, which ties in with the building’s former use as part of a university. Passion, knowledge, art and science, topics that all play an important role in any adolescent’s life, have informed Swedish interior architect Martin Brudnizki’s work in the making of a playful and eclectic bolthole for a younger crowd.

What are the rooms like?

The hotel’s 234 rooms have been designed in the ‘Passion’ or ‘Knowledge’ styles – the former featuring art and soft furnishings, the latter decorated with authentic reproductions of notes by Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe and English naturalist Charles Darwin. The rooms range in sizes from ‘Small’ to ‘Gigantic’ and feature a Bluetooth loudspeaker and a free minibar – perfect for those late-night study sessions.

The hotel offers plenty of ways to socialise. The Neni restaurant and Duse café are open for guests and locals alike, and the Boilerman basement bar is an intimate space for cocktails and music. Copenhagen’s Indre By is the area bounded by the lakes circling the inner city and the harbour. This historic centre reflects the entire city’s extent during the reign of King Christian IV (1577-1648), when the town was fortified. It is home to most of Copenhagen’s museums and attractions. Strøget, the city’s famed pedestrian shopping street, runs right through it.
