Persona

Persona is named after Ingmar Bergman’s film, and here exclusivity, quality, and details are highlighted as guests are provided a one-of-a-kind experience centered on cuisine and drink. The evening begins with the guest being led down to the wine cellar to select an appropriate wine, which will also serve as the basis for the guest’s tailor-made meal. Louis Cespedes, chef and founder, and Jonatan Nyström, service manager and co-owner, met while working at Frantzén and formed Persona. Erik Bratsberg, the venue’s interior designer, has created a beautiful custom atmosphere for the space.

Miyakodori Stockholm Sweden restaurant izakaya

12/10

Miyakodori

Miyakodori is an izakaya – a Japanese-style gastro pub – where you can get a drink, some food, and make new acquaintances in a relaxed and buzzy atmosphere. Miyakodori was founded by Max Westerlund Inazawa, John Forsell, and Lars Brennwald, three chefs and food enthusiasts who have worked together for many years at Frantzén, Adam/Albin, Lux, AG, and Rolf’s Kök. The restaurant is the trio’s interpretation of Miyakodori in Kawasaki, Japan, a third-generation yakitori izakaya that opened in the 1950s and where Westerlund Inazawa worked for many years.

Riche Fenix

Stockholm restaurant Riche, which has been in business for well over a century, knows a thing or two about creating a good ambience and serving up a culinary feast. Its new sibling is Riche Fenix, a hot and happening bar located on the other side of town in the Södermalm neighbourhood. Here, restaurant manager Matilda Jackson, daughter of well-known restauranteur PG Nilsson, establishes what the next generation of hip urban watering holes is: a lively and social spot with an excellent selection of foods and beverages, eye-catching art and a clientele that is made up of the city’s most fashionable.

Brutalisten

If you’re an art buff, you’re probably familiar with the work of Stockholm-based German artist Carsten Höller. Höller has teamed up with Swedish chef Stefan Eriksson to write the ten-tenet “The Brutalist Kitchen Manifesto” which serves as a base for the foods served at their Stockholm dining establishment Brutalisten. With a “mono-ingredient” menu, this place is not only a restaurant but also a work of art and a social experiment.
