The vintage shops shaping Copenhagen’s style right now

Where in Copenhagen to go vintage shopping

Copenhagen’s style edge doesn’t come from glossy shopfronts but from the racks that locals keep close. In this city, vintage runs deeper than fashion. It’s embedded in the design language, shaping both style and sustainability. Week by week, the racks shift with the seasons. Light denim and linen appear in spring. Archival coats surface when the wind bites. The best secondhand shops feel less like stores and more like small editorial houses, curating mood rather than inventory. Want leather, lace or luxury without the hefty price tag? Here are the shops that are defining the vintage aesthetic in Copenhagen right now.

Jérôme Vintage / Rosy Vintage

Located on Vesterbrogade in Vesterbro, Jérôme Vintage and Rosy Vintage share a building but feel like two sides of a coin. Jérôme Vintage is where Copenhagen’s fashion set go when they want heritage names and razor-sharp tailoring that still feels relevant today. The racks read like a private collection – YSL jackets, Céline trousers, silk shirts with perfect drape – pieces that locals don’t wear as vintage, but as everyday essentials. Step next door into Rosy Vintage and the mood loosens. Sequined slips rub shoulders with leather trenches and no-label gems hang beside statement denims. The best part? You don’t have to choose. Slide between both doors and you’ve just sampled the full spectrum of Copenhagen’s vintage DNA.

Bintagged

Bintagged feels more like an archive than a shop and that’s the point. Every piece is handpicked and inspected with curatorial precision, from Comme des Garçons to early-2000s Prada to a Margiela cut that still looks futuristic. The space itself is pared-back, almost gallery-like, which lets the clothes carry the narrative. This is where you shop when you’re looking for something rare but wearable, an item that will slot into a wardrobe built on longevity rather than trend-chasing. We also love the staff’s eye for provenance and fit. If you want to understand why a particular cut or fabric endures, the staff will explain it and help you fit it into a modern rotation.

2nd Edition

In the heart of Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter on Sankt Peders Stræde, 2nd Edition strikes a balance between the aspirational and the accessible. The shop works on consignment, which means the stock is in constant rotation. Today’s racks could hold a sculptural Danish label, a Gucci bag and a 1990s leather coat and tomorrow it could be something entirely different. The thrill is in the turnover. Locals know it’s the place to trade up, where pieces that have lived a full life in one wardrobe move on to fuel another. What makes it stand out is the balance. Luxury items sit comfortably alongside unexpected one-offs, making the store feel approachable without losing its edge.

OSV Secondhand

Tiny but powerful, OSV Secondhand feels like a local’s secret. Two stores (Peder Hvitfeldts Stræde & Møntergade) stock secondhand treasures for both men and women. This is where you’ll find a sharp edit of local brands such as Ganni dresses and Soulland shirts, mixed with vintage staples that skew more everyday than extravagant. What we love about OSV Secondhand is that the stock is refreshed frequently and there is an emphasis on tailoring and proportions that suit Nordic wardrobes. It’s less about the spotlight and more about what’s honest, original and lovingly preserved. The interiors are clean, the staff welcoming and whether you’re after minimal pieces or something with a bit more edge, OSV Secondhand delivers.

Collector’s Cage

Bags are status objects in Copenhagen and Collector’s Cage is where the city’s most discerning go hunting. This Amagertorv boutique is dedicated entirely to vintage and pre-loved designer handbags, each one authenticated and refurbished before hitting the shelf. Get ready to browse through Louis Vuitton trunks, Chanel classics and Fendi baguettes waiting to be carried back into the city. Prices reflect provenance, but you’ll still find pieces that freshen a look without blowing the budget: colourful city bags, clutches and small leather goods with character. The walls are beautiful, the atmosphere polished and the staff know their fashion history inside out.
